Have you ever set up a Teams meeting and the status of attendees is set to Busy, when something like Working elsewhere would have been more appropriate? Read on…

TL;DR:
Microsoft Teams users will soon be able to choose a Show As status for meetings they organise. Currently the default Show As value for all the meetings an organiser creates is Busy. Due late April to late June 2022.

Details:
As an organiser, while creating the meeting, you will be able to choose a Show As status for the meeting. When participants RSVP, their status during the meeting will automatically reflect the status the organiser set.

As a participant, you can choose to override the status set by the organiser and select your own individual status for the meeting through the Show As menu. The status you have chosen will be reflected in your calendar.
