Files in Teams chat and channel conversations will soon have a Preview button (it looks like a ’play’ button in the image below) that enlarges the preview and allows you to engage with and view that file without leaving the chat or conversation:
Stage one of this rollout will be single file attachments in Teams messages, starting with PDFs. PowerPoint, Word and Excel will follow later. The Preview option for files in messages with multiple files will be announced later.
