I used the 2022 Christmas break to study for and pass exam PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals. Study for the exam provides a great overview of the Microsoft Power Platform; Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents.
Below are the links and notes I built up along the way, many of the the links are from the Microsoft learning path PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals – Training | Microsoft Learn and the official practice exam PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals Microsoft Official Practice Test. I suggest you work through the learning path, using the below links to read up on topics as needed. I found the explanations to both my right and wrong answers in the official practice test to be very helpful too.
If, like me, a bit of pressure helps you focus I suggest you just book the exam for four weeks from now (look out for the offer on the practice exam at the time of booking)…you can always push it back a little if you need to. Just book it!
Suggested initial study steps:
- Read the full summary of exam topics from the ‘Skills measured’ section below
- Complete Microsoft’s learning path: PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals – Training | Microsoft Learn
- Use the below links to read up on topics as needed…it’s not meant to be an a-z reading list. I suggest you make use of Microsoft Edge’s Read Aloud feature to help keep you focused
- Test your knowledge with the official practice exam: PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals Microsoft Official Practice Test (look out for a decent discount if you buy when booking the exam)
- Seek additional resources and information for areas where you need extra help
I won’t wish you luck, you don’t need it.
