Short Version
Copilot Chat can answer questions based on the contents of the currently open Copilot Page. Now due early October 2025 to early February 2026.

Details
This update means that Copilot Chat (1) can ‘see’ and answer questions on the contents of your currently open Copilot Page (2). This side-by-side Chat experience should make using Copilot across your current page frictionless.


Update
Microsoft have added the following information:

“There are four main elements included in this update:

  • Improved on-Page Copilot interactions, including Ask Copilot for selecting content and the use of Page-level improvements via the Copilot Shortcuts experience.
  • Page creation via Chat, where an intent to create a Copilot Page in a Chat prompt will automatically create that page.
  • Page updates via Chat, where a prompt to modify or add to the currently-open Page will make those changes directly on the Page.
  • Chat can now answer questions based on the content of the open Page.”

Due early October to early November 2025.
Now due early October 2025 to early February 2026.
