Image search is coming to Teams chats and channels. Due mid-November to early December 2025.

Details
Microsoft Teams will soon let you search for images (screenshots, whiteboard photos, or any other visuals shared) in chats and channels directly from the search bar.

You can find images by person name or message content using Autosuggest, and the Search Results Page will display the chat or channel where the image was shared for added context. Image results will be based on message content, the people involved, and the location of the conversation, making it easier for you to find visuals shared across Teams.

Start typing in the search box to reveal Autosuggest image results based on the sender or message keywords:


Clicking an image opens it in a lightbox, with a carousel below to browse related images:


Select the Images search pull to focus results on images only:
