Short Version
Microsoft Teams’ intelligent meeting recap will soon include shared-screen content for richer, more visual summaries. Cancelled 13th August 2025.

Details
Intelligent meeting recaps in Teams will soon include content shared on screen in the AI-based summary provided after the meeting. The captured screenshot will be shown alongside the relevant meeting notes for a more complete, visual recap of the meeting.

Applies to Teams for Windows desktop, Teams for Mac desktop, Teams for the web, and Teams for iOS/Android.

Due to the wording “this feature requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot license” and “Coming soon for Microsoft Copilot in Teams: Intelligent meeting recap will be able to…” It is unclear to me whether this will be available to users who have access to intelligent recap because they hold a Teams Premium licence, but do not have Copilot. I hope they do; otherwise, this will be another fork in functionality.

Availability
Due mid to late-September 2025.
Cancelled 13th August 2025. Microsoft: “After further review we have decided not to proceed with this change at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience”.
