Short Version
Microsoft 365 Copilot will soon proactively remove cancelled meetings in Outlook and RSVP to meetings based on your instructions. Due late January to early March 2026.

Details
Outlook (new and web) users with a Copilot licence will soon be able to create custom calendar instructions that allow Copilot to automatically respond to incoming meeting invites. Microsoft have given the following examples:

  • Always accept meetings from /name if my calendar is free.
  • Always follow meetings scheduled after 5pm.
  • Always remove cancelled meetings from my calendar.

All actions will appear in the Copilot button on the Outlook calendar, and you will receive notifications and activity logs for all calendar actions Copilot completes.

A ‘first-run experience’ will automatically appear and guide you through this new feature.

Availability
Due late January to early March 2026.
