TL;DR:
Microsoft is releasing a new feature that will allow Microsoft Forms creators the capability to allow form/quiz respondents to edit their responses after submission. Due early to late May 2023.
Details:
Once enabled, form and quiz respondents can edit their responses, as long as the form or quiz is still open. The answers cannot be accessed if the form or quiz is closed or removed.
This will need to be enabled by your Microsoft 365 Admin. If enabled where you work, it will not be selected by default for your forms…you can choose to enable it on a form by form basis:
