TL;DR:
Microsoft will be replacing the existing My Groups experience with a new and improved version. My Groups enables end users to manage groups, such as finding groups to join, managing groups they own, and managing existing group memberships. Optionally available now, the mandatory switch will happen mid and late May 2023.

Details:
From May, you will no longer be able to access the existing My Groups experience at mygroups.microsoft.com and will be redirected to the new experience at myaccount.microsoft.com/groups:

If you want to, you can try the richer experience by proactively going to myaccount.microsoft.com/groups.

The new version has these additional features:

  • sorting and filtering on lists of groups and group members
  • a full list of group members in large groups
  • an actionable overview page for membership requests

Navigation between the old and new experiences is available via notification banners on each site (although I didn’t see a banner in the new experience):

The 365 admin for your organisation will not be able to restrict owners or users from accessing or using the new My Groups experience, but that can manage your ability to create new Microsoft 365 and Security groups.

Availability:
Optionally available now at https://myaccount.microsoft.com/groups/.
The mandatory switch will happen mid and late May 2023.
