Short Version
You will soon be able to open Microsoft Teams channels in a new window. Due late October to late November 2025.
Details
This feature lets you detach a channel from the main Teams client and view it in a separate window. There are two ways to do this:
1. Select the More options ellipses next to a channel name and choose Open in a new window:
2. In the channel header, select the More channel options ellipses and choose Open in a new window:
This update applies to the desktop client in Windows and macOS.
