Short Version
Sharing and collaboration come to Copilot Notebooks, enabling you and your colleagues to collaborate in a single notebook. Due late October to December 2025.
Details
Recap: In a single Notebook, Pages, Loops, OneNote, SharePoint Sites, and other Microsoft 365 content are combined for you and Copilot to focus on.
Sharing Copilot Notebooks enables you and your colleagues to collaborate in a single notebook, providing shared insights while maintaining data security and permissions.

Key points:
- Share a notebook they created with other Copilot-licensed users.
- Copilot responses will be grounded in shared enterprise content.
- Chats within shared notebooks remain private to each user.
- Access to linked files is granted only when the sharer has permission to share further.
- Copilot ensures data sensitivity is protected when content is brought from chat into the notebook.
- Sharing is enabled by default for Copilot Notebooks.
- There is currently no admin control to disable sharing independently; the only way to prevent sharing is to disable Copilot Notebooks entirely.
