Microsoft Teams is updating notifications by adding message previews to more notification types, including channels, mentions, and reactions. The aim is to help you assess the importance of a notification without leaving what you are currently doing.
Applies to Teams for Windows desktop, Teams for Mac desktop and Teams for the web.

Due mid-January 2026.
