Microsoft Teams meetings with PowerPoint Live will soon let attendees select slide text and get private, on-demand Copilot explanations. Due mid to late May 2026.

Microsoft is enhancing the PowerPoint Live experience in Teams by introducing slide text selection with Copilot explanations to help users understand unfamiliar terms, acronyms, or complex concepts during a live presentation.

Steps:

Select the Copilot feature from the Presenter View toolbar at the bottom of the screen, then select any text from the slide:


Select Explain this from the available Copilot options:


Copilot opens the chat pane and provides an explanation for the selected content:


To use this feature, the presentation must be done using PowerPoint Live, and you’ll need an M365 Copilot licence (premium).
