The Planner agent is coming to Microsoft 365 Copilot, bringing task and plan management into Copilot so you can create, update and manage personal tasks and shared basic plans. It surfaces insights such as priorities, deadlines, and at-risk work, and uses interactive task cards so you can review and confirm any changes before they’re applied. Due mid to late June 2026.
Details
You’ll be able to find and add the Planner agent from the Copilot agent store, then launch it from Agents (1), then use it across your Microsoft 365 Copilot experiences. It lets you create, view and update personal tasks and shared basic plans, and generate structured plans complete with goals, buckets and task hierarchies (2).
When you’re working with several plans, a plan selection experience helps you pick the right one, and additional task fields are supported for fuller plan and task management. Suggested updates appear as interactive task cards (3) that you review and confirm before anything changes, and the agent highlights insights such as priorities, deadlines and at-risk work.
