SharePoint page editors can find editing text on pages cumbersome, with some of the editing options residing in the property pane on the right. Microsoft has now addressed this.
Short version:
This feature update helps SharePoint page editors to access all simple text editing tools from the floating horizontal web part toolbar, rather than having to open the property pane on the right for editing options. Available between now to late January.
Details:
This floating toolbar will now dynamically resize to match the width of your Text web part, maximising the number of tools you immediately see. All other tools, and the property pane, can be accessed from the ellipses drop down menu.
