TL;DR:
Microsoft Teams meetings currently support a maximum of 9 videos (3×3) on the screen by default (Gallery view). For seeing more than 9 videos, you need to manually select the ‘Large Gallery’ view. With this update, you will automatically see up to 49 videos (7×7) on your screen by default, without user intervention. Large Gallery and Gallery view will still exist as options. Due late September to early October 2022.

- Hardware capabilities (CPU, RAM etc.)
- Network/internet bandwidth
- Whether content is popped out in a separate window or not
