TL;DR:
Microsoft: “Python in Excel is rolling out to Public Preview in Excel for Windows for users with access to the Microsoft 365 Insiders program Beta Channel. While Python in Excel is in Public Preview, users in your organization with access to the Microsoft 365 Insiders program Beta Channel will be able to use this feature as part of their subscription. Once the feature becomes generally available, an additional Python in Excel license will be required to use the feature”.  Due late August to early September 2023.

Microsoft: “Python in Excel allows you to bring the capabilities of Python directly into the Excel grid. As a part of this Public Preview, users with access to the Microsoft 365 Insiders program Beta Channel will be able to add Python formulas into their workbooks without any installation required. These Python formulas will be run by Excel in a secure container on the Microsoft Cloud with enterprise-level security as a compliant Microsoft 365 connected experience”.


Availability:
Due in Public Preview late August to early September 2023.
General availability date is to be confirmed but will require a Python in Excel license.
