TL;DR
Microsoft is expanding the Forms data sync to Excel for personal forms functionality to Group forms and adding more features. Due late June to late July 2024.

Details
Live data sync to Microsoft Excel lets you sync Forms responses to a Microsoft Excel (online) file, so you always have the latest responses, which update automatically.

This functionality was previously restricted to personal Forms but is being extended to forms created in M365 Groups and in Excel for the web.

New features:

  • Create an Excel workbook in your OneDrive on the form/quiz responses page
  • Form responses will automatically sync to a table in the Excel workbook
  • New responses will automatically sync while the workbook is open in Excel for the web
  • Excel coauthors will also get automatically synced responses in Excel for the web

Availability
Due late June to late July 2024.
