Short version:
If you are a video owner, this feature update will enable you to toggle features, such as transcripts and comments, on and off for all viewers in the web player. This applies to audio and video files in OneDrive and SharePoint. Due late November to late February 2022.
Details:
This new capability is only for video/audio file owners and those users with edit access to the video or audio file. You will see a Video settings button in the upper right-hand corner of any video or audio file stored in OneDrive or SharePoint:
The video settings button expands to a panel where you can turn on/off features such as transcription/captions and comments for all viewers for a particular video.
