Short Version
Microsoft is introducing a new SharePoint experience that includes a redesigned SharePoint app bar and SharePoint start page. Now due mid-June to late July 2026.

Details
There will be a redesigned SharePoint app bar and a refreshed SharePoint start page for finding sites, content, and news, and support for AI-assisted creation (Copilot premium required).

The first icon in the revised app bar is your organisational home site, but only if your organisation has configured global navigation, in this case ‘ReleCloud’:

    The second is Discover, your personalised view that helps you navigate and see what’s new across relevant sites, content, and news:


    The third icon is Publish, a central place to create and share communications and pages across your organisation:


    The fourth icon will be Build. Your place to create and manage the likes of sites, lists, document libraries and agents:


    Finally, the OneDrive icon provides quick access to your own files:
