TL;DR:
This new feature will allow members of SharePoint Team sites to see tasks assigned to them by other team members on their home page. Due late June to early July 2022.
Details:
This update will enable Planner task cards to show up on your team site activity feed when you are approaching the due date.
When a team member assigns a task to you within a plan (above image), and you are within two days of the due date, a card will show up on your site activity feed:
