Short Version
SharePoint Online’s page editing toolbox (in the content pane) is being reorganised so all web parts are visible the moment you open it. Stock images, videos, and recently used images each get their own tab, and section templates move to a separate tab. Due late May to late June 2026.
Details
Microsoft is updating the page editing experience in SharePoint Online by reorganising the content pane toolbox (1) used when creating or editing pages and news posts. When you open the toolbox:
- All available web parts are visible by default, with no extra navigation required.
- Additional tabs appear for Stock images, Videos, and Recently used (2).
- Section templates move to a separate tab.
- Tabs group content by category, so you can easily switch between content types.

Availability
Due late May to late June 2026.
