Short Version
Microsoft Teams group chats will soon have a new Teams Collaborative Notes tab. Now due early to mid-November 2025.
Details
Microsoft is introducing Teams Collaborative Notes to Teams group chats. You’ll be able to co-create and edit notes, agendas, and action items within the Teams chat interface.
This new feature will appear as a new Notes tab in group chats and is powered by Loop, unlike the Notes tab in channels, which is OneNote.

This will be on by default for everyone, but your organisation can disable it if it chooses to.
