The Discover feed in Microsoft Teams now has a ‘Follow thread’ option. Due late November to early December 2025.

Recap: The Discover Feed (1) is a personalised channel feed for posts from people and topics you engage with. Instead of going through each channel listed to catch up on what’s happening, you can head to the Discover Feed to catch up quickly on relevant channel activity. If you use the combined chat/channel view, you will see this in the Chat app. If you use the separate chat/channel view, you will see this in the Teams app.
Posts in the Discover feed will soon include a Follow thread option (2). Any thread that you follow will then appear in the Followed threads (3) section on the rail, making it easy for you to track discussions that matter to you:
