In Copilot, you can use the + menu to add work content to a prompt. How those added ‘entities’ appear is changing. Now due mid-February to mid-March 2026.
Details
In Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, you can use the + menu to Add Work Content (such as people, files and meetings) (1). Microsoft refer to these as ‘entities’, and how these entities appear is changing.
They will no longer be inserted as text within the prompt box (2) but will only appear in ‘entity pills’ at the top of the prompt box (3), creating a cleaner-looking prompt experience.
AvailabilityDue mid to late February 2026.
