Microsoft is introducing Copilot-experience-specific chat history. Due mid-April to late May 2026.
Details
Currently, the Copilot navigation pane shows all chats by default, regardless of the experience or app where the chat happened.
With this update, chat history will be scoped to the Copilot experience you are currently working in, while still allowing access to an All chats view. For example, if you have a Copilot chat initiated in Outlook (1), this will only show in your Copilot chat history within Outlook.
Chats are not being deleted or modified; only how chats are filtered and displayed in the navigation pane is changing.
