Microsoft is updating how you access Copilot in Excel to provide a more consistent experience across Microsoft 365 apps. This change consolidates multiple Copilot entry points into a single icon in the bottom-right corner (1). It also establishes Excel Edit Mode in the right-side chat pane (2) as the primary Copilot interface:
