Copilot Notebooks are coming to Microsoft 365 Copilot for people with Copilot (Basic) experiences, extending it beyond those with a Copilot add-on licence. Due mid-June 2026.

Copilot Notebooks will be available to eligible Copilot Chat users, including those with Copilot Chat (Basic) and Microsoft 365 Copilot (Basic). You’ll be able to create persistent notebooks to gather and organise content, add references and work through your materials with Copilot, all in a single place:
Availability varies by app, and Copilot Notebooks in OneNote won’t be available to Copilot Chat (Basic) users at this stage.
