TL;DR
Microsoft Teams will soon allow you to create custom emojis and reactions, allowing you to upload images or GIFs. Now due early August to early September 2024.

Details
You will be able to add custom emojis and reactions by uploading an image or GIF file, and your emojis and reactions will be accessible to all users in your organisation alongside the standard Teams emojis and reactions.

Up to 5,000 custom emojis can be added per tenant, if your organisation doesn’t disable this feature.

View custom emojis in the emoji menu:


Set a name for your emoji:


It’s now available for the whole organisation to use. Let’s hope we don’t all upload fifteen limes:
