Short Version
Microsoft is bringing Quick Share to images in Microsoft Teams, so you can share or copy image links faster — straight from hover actions, right-click menus, overflow menus, and shared tabs — while your existing permissions still apply. Due mid-June to late June 2026.
Details
Microsoft is introducing a Quick Share option for images in Microsoft Teams, helping you share visual content faster across chats and channels. Quick Share now extends to images, so you can share or copy image links directly from familiar interaction points, while preserving existing permissions.
You’ll see a Quick Share option for images, available from (1):
- Hover actions
- Right-click context menus
- Overflow menus
- Shared tabs

From these, you can quickly:
- Share images (2)
- Copy image links

Existing Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 sharing permissions continue to apply. The feature is enabled by default, and no new admin controls are introduced.
Availability
