Short Version
Black Forest Labs’ Flux.2 Flex image generation model is now available in PowerPoint with Microsoft 365 Copilot. It’s optimised for high-quality visuals with improved text and layout rendering, and appears as an extra choice in the image model picker so you can pick the model that best suits what you’re creating. A Microsoft 365 Copilot (Premium) licence is required. Due late April to early May 2026.
Details
This update gives you more flexibility by letting you choose your preferred image generation model in PowerPoint. Flux.2 Flex shows up as an additional option in the image model picker.
To find it: open the Copilot pane in PowerPoint. The model picker appears at the top with Auto selected by default (1) — select it to view the available models. Reasoning models appear first; scroll down to the Image models section (2) and expand it to see the options, including Flux.2 Flex (3).

The model is a third-party model hosted within Microsoft-controlled Azure infrastructure, and your prompts are only processed when you explicitly select it. There are no changes to your existing workflows unless you choose the new model.
Availability
Due late April to early May 2026.
