If you have used Copilot Search in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, you will know how useful it is to search your organisation’s content before asking Copilot a question. That same kind of search is now available directly in Excel Agent (1):
You can search for files, emails, meetings, chats, people, and transcripts from within the Agent, and use what you find as grounding for your Copilot responses. That means the answers you get are based on your actual organisational content, not general knowledge alone.

Rolled out mid-March to late June 2026.
