Microsoft is introducing the Agent link web part, letting you add a clickable link to launch an AI agent in the sidecar experience—making contextual help easier to access directly from your SharePoint page. Due mid to late August 2025.

This feature allows you to embed a clickable link to an agent on a SharePoint page. The configured agent then launches in a sidebar. It’s an easy way to surface help using AI agents, directly where your users need it.
Find the Agent link web part in the toolbox, under the category AI:
You’ll need to choose a size, consider using ‘Show title’, and link it to an agent:
Then, publish your page as usual. When page viewers select the agent link, it opens in the sidebar:
Microsoft suggests that site admins and content authors:
- Identify pages where contextual agent support can improve your users’ experience
- Plan to add the Agent Link Web Part to relevant pages once this feature is available
- Ensure referenced agents are published and accessible to your users
- Agents published to SharePoint are also configurable using this web part
Links to agents are only accessible to users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license or those in organisations that have configured the M365 PAYG meter. Users without access will see a message indicating they don’t have access within the sidebar.
