Short Version
You will soon be able to create workflows in the chat and channel compose boxes using the new slash command /createworkflow. Due late April to mid-May 2026.
Details
A workflow is an automated process that handles repetitive tasks for you, such as sending notifications, creating tasks, or starting approvals when something happens in Teams. After this update, you can type /createworkflow while composing a message to create an automation, instead of navigating through menus (1):
