Short Version
Microsoft Teams will soon offer AI-generated video recaps. Due late April to early May 2026.
Details
Video-based meeting recaps offer narrated video highlights from recorded meetings conducted in English, “combining key takeaways with short video clips that showcase important discussion points”. Microsoft says this is designed to save time and improve information retention.

A new Video recap button will be added to the meeting Recap page:
Key points:
- Coming to Teams desktop (Windows/Mac) and web.
- One video recap is generated per meeting.
- All users with access to the meeting recap, and who have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, see the same video recap.
- The recap presents narrated highlights and short video clips of key moments.
- The narrated audio is an AI-generated voiceover based on the meeting recording and transcript.
