Short Version
Agent Mode in Copilot for PowerPoint web lets you create and refine presentations using natural conversation, whilst preserving formatting and branding. Due mid-February to mid-March 2026.
Details
Agent Mode in PowerPoint allows all Microsoft 365 users to create, edit, and refine presentations using natural language, directly in their presentations. Ask Copilot to create slides, update content, improve layouts, and polish design – while preserving the existing formatting, structure, and branding.
If you have an M365 Copilot license, you can also ask Copilot to use your files, meetings, and emails as you create or refine content. You can also connect to your brand kit to apply branded templates, insert brand-approved images, and check for brand compliance.

Microsoft add: “Agent Mode is part of Copilot Chat within PowerPoint for the web and is not a standalone feature”. Despite its name, Agent Mode is not an agent; it’s just the name given to the mode that allows Copilot to create and make changes to your slides.
Availability
