As you resize the Microsoft Teams window, the first thing to be hidden is the app bar (the first panel on the left, with Activity, Chat, Calendar etc.). Microsoft is adding the option to pin this app bar so it remains visible most of the time.
They are tweaking the Teams user interface and adding a “hamburger (≡) context menu” in the top left corner (2) with the option to “Keep app bar visible for most window sizes” (1).
