Are you a trainer, super user or Microsoft Teams enthusiast and love getting your hands on new features as early as possible? Of course you are! Teams public preview is for you, it provides early access to unreleased features.

Just remember that some of the features may change before they become generally available or even disappear altogether!

Enable Teams public preview:

  1. Click Settings and more (to the left of your profile picture in the top right corner of Teams)
  2. Select About > Public preview
  3. In the notice that appears, select Switch to public preview:


You’re done! Up until 23rd March 2023, users who were enrolled in Public Preview had a “P” next to their profile picture, that has changed to “EA”, indicating you have Early Access to Teams features:


Found a new feature you want to tell people about? Remember to come out of preview mode and check if it’s available to everyone first: Click Settings and more > About > click on Public preview to revert back to normal.
