TL:DR:
Microsoft: “Meeting Recap is a new feature on Outlook on the web that allows meeting participants to quickly access meeting content, such as the meeting recording, easily from the calendar event. After a meeting has ended, users can open a meeting on their calendar to find links to meeting artifacts for easy access”. Due late February to late May 2023.

Details:
Initially, the feature will support meetings scheduled using Microsoft Teams, and will have the following limitations:

  1. Meeting recordings started through auto-record in Teams will not appear in the recap
  2. Teams channel meetings
  3. Meetings scheduled on group calendars
  4. Ad-hoc meetings

I assume 2, 3 and 4 are scenarios where this feature WILL NOT work.

When a meeting participant clicks on a meeting in their calendar, they will see links to various meeting content (such as a recording),  if it exists. Note that this is simply a link and Outlook does not store any of the content.

User access and permission to view the content remain unchanged and controlled by the file owner.
