Currently, after setting link permissions in OneDrive you select the Copy link button and your link is generated. To change the link permissions, you must recreate a new link, you will soon be able to edit these link permissions.

Short version:
Instead of a Copy link button, you’ll see an entire section where you can set permissions for the link and then copy it to share it with recipients. If you need to update the link permissions, you will be able to do it directly from the Link Created dialogue box as well. Due early December 2021 to early January 2022.

Details:
When you interact with the OneDrive/SharePoint share control, you will easily be able to change your link permissions before creating a link and pasting it into the app of your choice. You will also be able to change the link settings post-creation directly inside the confirmation box.

Availability:
Due early December 2021 to early January 2022. Some users may see this feature before other users within your organisation.
